About us

Pet-Joy is a lifestyle brand for pet products. The range includes products such as DoggyBagg dog cushions, DoggyBrush brushes, Pet-Joy Fresh shampoos and Pet-Joy Care skin and wound care. Our products are sold in pet shops, garden shops, hunting shops and dog grooming salons and via various webshops, in the Netherlands and in the rest of Europe.

Pet-Joy Products was founded in 1992. Pet-Joy has recently undergone a complete re-branding, restoring a modern and stylish image to our brand. With our marketing team, we work enthusiastically and passionately on this brand every day, with B2B retail marketing and online/offline consumer marketing. Through various online channels and campaigns, we promote findability and brand awareness and reach pet owners across Europe.

To achieve further growth, we are going to expand our marketing department. We are looking for a broad-based product manager for this purpose.

Job description

As Product Manager, you are the spider in the web and inspiration for Pet-Joy. Central to your work is setting out an (online) marketing strategy based on analyses, independently implementing the marketing plan and then measuring the results. As Product manager, you cover several marketing disciplines. You do not have a single specialism but will be in charge of tracking trends, initiating the development, production and (online) marketing of the product range. You will therefore work together with a designer and with a social media marketer, with the Business Unit Manager and with production, purchasing and logistics.

What do we ask from you?

Knowledge and experience

  • You have 1-2 years of similar work experience. If you are a starter with relevant internship experience, you are also very welcome! But if you have more experience, you will also fit in very well with us.
  • You have HBO working and thinking level and/or demonstrable commercial knowledge and experience with (online) marketing.
  • You have basic knowledge of doing customer research and retrieving customer requirements.
  • Command of the Dutch and English languages.


  • Enthusiastic & eager to learn: you are eager to learn and work with the latest techniques in the field of (online) marketing and e-commerce. With a good dose of enthusiasm and perseverance, you will fit right in with our young team.
  • You are proactive, independent and have a hands-on mentality: we do not need to take you by the hand, you see opportunities for improvements yourself and you tackle problems adequately.
  • You have natural social and communication skills and enjoy working in a team environment.
